Tristar Surface Finishing Products

  1. Abrasive Rolls, Belts, Flap Wheels, Spindle Mops, Sisal Bias Buffs, Sisal Cord Brushes, Cloth Bias Buff available in various sizes, shapes, quality and Polishing Compound & Emulsion available in different grades.

  2. Cotton Buffs: Cotton Buffs are manufactured using Super Grade Cotton Fabric specifically woven for Buff manufacturing. Several varieties of Treated and Untreated fabrics are used for manufacturing Buffs in various Shapes & Forms to suit specific application.

  3. Sisal Buffs are used along with Polishing Compounds of suitable grade according to the type of material to be polished and finish required. Generally aggressive cutting Compounds are used for removal of surface defect as well preparing surface for further polishing operation.

  • Decorative surfaces are a delight for the eyes and heart. Polishing is merely grinding taken beyond the microscopic limit until a high luster is obtained.

  • Stock is being removed right to the end crystals are torn out of the surface completely.

  • During Polishing further material is not removed but under the pressure of the Polishing Buffs and Abrasion of minerals in the Polishing Compounds, in combination with increase in temperature produced by the Polishing Mop, melting of the under surface layers occurs and thereby – analogous to the flame Polishing of Plastics an amorphous highly Polished surface is formed.

  • Grinding & Polishing prevents Corrosion & produce a high quality surface finish which is also hygienic. This especially important for Stainless Steel containers & tanks used in the food & Chemical Industries. Dishes used in Operation theaters, Surgical Instruments, Stainless Steel & Silver Cutleries.

  • Grinding: Selection of proper Grinding media and grits are very important to reduce Polishing operation. Grinding is imparted to reduce polishing time to remove major defects like pit marks, surface defects of previous operation like casting, forging, machining, drawing, forming etc. Generally Coated Abrasive Belts, Flap Wheels are used for grinding the surface prior to polishing to form uniform surface.

  • Pre – Polishing: This is the second stage of process involved to further improve the surface after grinding. During Pre-Polishing grinding line marks are removed to for uniform surface to process for further polishing. Mostly Sisal Mops with or without

  • Polishing:Polishing is removes even the minor scratches of Pre-Polishing to form smooth even mirror like finish. Soft Cotton Buffs with fine grade Polishing Compound are used for polishing..

  • High Gloss Polishing: Certain aesthetic material requires special finishing and hence involve further final touch of polishing with very soft Cotton Buffs using Finely graded Polishing Compounds.
  • Association with Leading manufacturers of Surface Finishing Products from Germany, Europe, render us technical consultancy, advice, recommends to us for the most advance solution for economical Grinding & Polishing process of Metals: Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Copper, Stainless Steel, Zinc, Precious Metal, Lacquer, Plastic, Wood etc.

  • Buffing Wheels & Polishing Mop: Buffs are Rotating Surface Finishing Tools used with Polishing Compounds for achieving perfect and a high degree of surface finishing. Buffs are manufactured from Cotton (Muslin), Canvas, Calico, Chamois, Sisal Mat or Sisal Braid.

  • Buffs are mounted on a Buffing Machine: Automatic, Semi-Auto or Manually operated used with Polishing Composition manufactured using very finely graded Abrasives Minerals, applied or sprayed on the periphery of Rotating Buffs. Mechanical Pressure is applied either manually or with the help of Machine is used for removing surface defects of previous operation i.e. Machining, Deep Drawing, Forming, Rolling, Spinning, Grinding etc.

  • Objective of Buffing: To make a rough surface smooth; however, every part does not have the same finish and will need to be worked differently.

Several stages of surface treatment are involved depending upon the condition of material to be Polished: Grinding, Satin Finishing / Brushing, Pre-Polishing, Polishing & High Gloss Polishing
  • Several stages of surface treatment are involved depending upon the condition of material to be Polished:Satin Finishing produces Satin, Brushed, Non –Reflective finishes on metals. Satin finishes are produced by first Buffing the work piece to a bright finish and then dulling it to give it a softer, brushed look. These finishes are applied using an abrasive and glue mix or greaseless compounds.
